The Buck-Boost DC-DC converter is a converter for charging 12V or 24V auxiliary batteries in vehicles with an intelligent alternator. The converter will charge the auxiliary battery with a pre-set voltage, which eliminates high (e.g. Mercedes: 15.4V) or low voltages.

Engine running» detection system

The built-in «engine running» detection system prevents deep discharge of the vehicle’s starter battery. In addition to this detection system, the converter can also be activated via a programmable input (D+ connection, CAN bus or (+)15).

Fully programmable

The converter can be fully programmed via a simple and easy to use PC application (a USB Type A male to USB Type B male cable is required).

One product for 12V, 24V and 12/24V systems

The converter can be programmed to charge 12V or 24V auxiliary batteries from an alternator and a 12V or 24V starter battery.

Load current and inrush current limiter

The output current is determined by the following factors:

• The value of the maximum load current.
• The value of the maximum input current.
• The maximum operating temperature limit of the converter.

Input status indicator (LED)

• Green: converter on.
• Yellow: input voltage below threshold, converter off.
• Red: overtemperature, converter off.
• Blue, fast flashing: motor running, drive will start after a preset delay time.
• Blue, slow flashing: input undervoltage, converter off.

Output status indicator (LED)

• Green: converter off, battery voltage normal.
• Yellow: converter off, battery voltage low.
• Red: converter off, battery discharged.
